Frenzied Trump Fans Screamed At Reporters In Tampa

In a sign of just how dark and disturbing the Republican electorate has become, fans of President Donald Trump berated and cursed at members of the media at a campaign rally in Tampa, Florida Tuesday night.

“You suck!” yelled one woman at the reporters before turning her middle finger toward them. Others yelled and scowled or turned their thumbs down. One man wore a shirt that said, “F*ck the media.”

“Stop lying!” another man screamed. “Tell the truth!”

The reactions were captured by CNN reporter Jim Acosta.

“Just a sample of the sad scene we faced at the Trump rally in Tampa,” he said. “I’m very worried that the hostility whipped up by Trump and some in conservative media will result in somebody getting hurt. We should not treat our fellow Americans this way. The press is not the enemy.”

He added: “One of the surprising things I heard tonight in Tampa is Trump supporters saying I should be on their team. Anybody remember when we were all on the same team? I do.”

Giuliani is among Trump's co-defendants in Fulton County, Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis' election interference case, and in late April, he was indicted by a grand jury in a separate election interference case being prosecuted by State Attorney General Kris Mayes, a Democrat, in Arizona.

Former President Donald Trump's ongoing criminal trial in Manhattan recently attracted a throng of Republicans in blue suits and red ties all taking turns praising the ex-president while bashing the trial, the witnesses and Judge Juan Merchan. One Senate Republican wasn't impressed by the show of fealty to the 45th U.S. president.
